Repair Request in bw

Could you please explain me what is repair request in bw and Pros and cons for the same and How we can do repair request

Hi,

Repair request is used just to repair the data loading without touching the delta part.

Using the full repair request to reload the data into the DataStore object after selectively deleting data from the DataStore object can result in inconsistencies in the data target. Updating this request can lead to duplicate data records in the data record when the repair request selections do not agree with the selections from selectively deleting from the DataStore object.

Please take care of selective deletion before using repair full request.

Hi

repair full request is nothing jst a step prior to the delta. if u feel that ur DS can have new records so for that u want to schedule delta loads and thus for doing delta the must step is repair full load. before repair full u need to do init (with or widout data transfer).

This can done only for the ODS because of the Overwrite Functionality. We had an ODS which has got Initialized for Deltas, we found some mismatches in the data so we need to do a Full Update without destroying the delta Init. We can do a selective deletion of data from the ODS and schedule a Full load with this selection and make it Repair Request.
