Regarding the DB2E

Hi All,

To usethe MAM Application we need to use the DB2E .

Can any one tell me whether we need to use the DataBase Edition or

Enterprise Edition of DB2E so that it would be helpful.

Please refer to the below link for your reference and suggest me the edition

that we have to use.

DATABASE EDITION

Then Click on DB2 Everyplace.Then click on Download-Link to DB2 Everyplace V8.2.4 for MI 2.5 and MI 7.0 to download the DB2e.

Hi,

Actually we are trying to procure from the IBM vendor.

We need to exaclty know whether DB2E which is required for the MAM 2.5

is Enterprise Edition or Database Edition.

Hi Aswini

To use DB2e on MI, you need to download the software from SAP link mentioned above and not from IBM website. The reason being that all available DB2e versions are not supported and ceritified by SAP. Hence you have no choice but to download from SAP only provided you have the license for download. For trial purposes you can download the DB2e available in SDN.

Hi Aswini

Sorry this is beyond my knowledge. I am not aware of this procedure. Probably you can get in touch with the local SAP office or the SAP Field representatives and they may be of help. Just check out the SAP website.

Hi,

your local SAP Rep should be able to sell DB2e licence. Its a device based licence and with the annual maintanance fee you are entitled to upgrade to newer versions of DB2e in the future when they are supported by the SAP infrastructure.

Should you have problems finding the right contact, or if the SAP rep is unaware of this OEM offering, please let me know.
