Partner Functions concept comes in Vendor Master Record. Here you have a facility to create partners. i.e Main Vendors and Partner functions. Partner Functions are the sub- functions that are to be carried out when you order a material/service from main vendor. Say you have ordered a Spark Plugs from Main Vendor A, he might only do the manufacturing part, the rest of the things like Goods delivery, Insurance, Forwarding..etc are provided by some other vendors, who wear a cap of "Partner Functions". Normally these partner functions are linked to main vendor only in the form of Schemas (Groups). If you order the material from main vendor, the system considers the linked partner functions to carry out the rest of the activities. Hope I have answered your question/
