Regarding Basics of SAP

Hi,

I am a 2 days old kid to SAP. Could anyone plz explain me about What is SAP? What is new in that? What is the relation between NetWeaver and Java and also Few useful links for the starters in SAP.

Hi Vaishu,

SAP System Applications and Products, Pronounce S A P but not SAP (as a single word)-Because the following are the lteral English meanings for the word

1)A watery solution of sugars, salts, and minerals that circulates through the vascular system of a plant

2)A person who lacks good judgment

So we should not pronounce SAP as a single word

coming to details, it is a combination of applications/products such as EP,KM &C ,XI,CRM,SRM,HR,NWDS,WAS,MDM,VC,Soltution manager etc..

each one have its own importance more details you will get in the following links.

Mainly SAP Scope to combine Hetrogenity in Applications, Databases, plotform.

NWDS is the IDE where you will dovelop your applications and WAS is the Server where you will deploy and run your applications.
