Dear Raveena Chawla,

A small search on SDN SD forum will help you to answer your query.

I will suggest you to visit http://sap-img.com/sap-sd.htm. It will give you the overview of SAP SD module.

Moreover there is a separate section of FAQs with answers which will help you in great deal.

Hope this helps you.

Do award points if you found them useful.

Regards,

Rakesh

P.S. you can send me a mail at my mail id rakeshsinghchauhan@gmail.com for any specific details

hi

Copy control can be associated with the transfer of data between the various sales documents from a Quotation to Cash. Thus, copy control forms part of the document flow process. Copy control uses data at the header and schedule line level. Copy control determines which data is to be transfered, a copy control can be set to ensure copying of data at predefined time intervals. Similarly, with copy control one can also specify when to stop the copying process. Copy control is important in another way since it helps in determing wether new prices are used or not.

Hi Raveena,

Copy controls: You can specify for a particular sales document type, which document type is to be assigned to copied reference documents, and which item categories or schedule line categories are to be copied.

So here suppose you u had created a sales order and saved, and u want to create delivery for that order. So u need to have all the information of that order in the delivery document. this u will control thru the copy controls.

Sales document to sales document VTAA,

HERE U HAD CREATED A QUOTATION AND BASED ON THAT QUOTATION U NEED TO CREATE A ORDER. So to get that data u will use copy controls. so now go to t.code VTAA. AND SELECT UR SOURCE DOCUMENT IS QT and Target doc is OR and copy as , there u mention ur document types, similarly u do for item categories by selecting the item in the left hand side.

Order to order copy control VTAA

Order to delivery copy control VTLA

Order to invoice copy control VTFA

Delivery to invoice copy control VTFL

Copy controls are configured at Header, item and schedule line levels of the document whatever is applicable.

An F1 help in each field can give u the good idea of the purpose of that field.

Reward points if it helps.
