steps of learning SAP MM configuration

Dear gurus,

I have some questions,

For learning SAP-MM configuration :-

1) What is the sequence of configuration so that u can use system for further application ( Pl. note this is only learning & not standard configuration for any client)

2) What care /precautions should I take to go ahead?

Path: SAP Best Practices --> Baseline Packages --> Based on SAP ECC 5.00 --> Select Country: for eg, Localized for India --> Technical Information --> Building Blocks --> Select Country for eg, India --> List of Basic Configuration & scenarios will be listed.

Select the required basic configuration / scenario. These will consist of overview, configuration guide, business process, master data &so on ...........
