Dear experts,
I have browsed through numerous documents concerning SCEM both in this forum and elsewhere but I haven't come accross an answer to "do we need to install full SCM in order to deploy SAP Event Management". I found the blog in this community and also checked the reference link to another page (that refers SCEM as standalone) However, when I look at the installation guides, the only one referring to SCEM is for SCM 4.0.
Does anyone know what are the pre-requisites to deploy SCEM and what else (apart form the java component) do we need to have/install? Is there a simple yes/no answer to the question do we need to install full SCM in order to deploy Event Management?
I'm greatful for even the smallest hint pointing me to the right direction!
Sincerelly,
Auli
Hello Auli,
SCEM is since SCM 4.0 part of SCM. You need to install the complete SCM to have SCEM. If you want to use the Webinterface you must install the java component. Thats all.
In SCM 5.0 the installation guide for SCEM should be integrated into the general SCM installation guide.
Best regards,
Steffen
