Scope of XMii

Hi Friends,

I would like to know the future growth and requirements of XMii, I have been trained in ABAP basically and was moved to XMii shortly, is my move from abap to xmii is right or should i go back to ABAP again, Anyone please provide me the information.

Trained in ABAP, but only 'moved' to xMII? I would recommend not just learning xMII on the job, but getting some formal training in xMII as well. The present and future of xMII is very bright, as evidenced by the volume of global traffic in this very SDN forum itself.

Both ABAP and xMII will provide you with development and implementation opportunities, but I would think it well worth your time to give the xMII opportunity a strong effort. Having a balance of both technology skillsets would be very beneficial to any consulting firm, and there is always going to be plenty of ABAP to go around. There are many integration companies and customers looking for skilled resources in both ABAP and xMII so the choice is yours.
