regarding the scenerio i have doubt

I am using sender flat file adapter and receiver XI adapter, , but i thing if you use a XI adapter it is proxy , but i am not sure it is proxy or not

XI adapter is used to communicate within Integration Engine.

It is mainly used in PCK integrtaion and it is required if you are sending data from IntegrtaioN Engine to any Application system via ABAP proxy. i.e if you are using ABAP proxy as Reciever(Server) then it is required.

You can use XI adapter for ABAP and Java Proxy also.

No, Proxies communicate thru XI adapter but using XI adapter doesnt mean using a proxy

you mean you dont know which receiver interface you are integrating?

also XI adapter is not used just for proxies,it can be used to exchange message with Integration engine or exchange message between integration engine and PCK
