Locking issue in BW-BPS

Dear all,

My collegues and I are into our first try of BW-BPS modelling and the three of us was working on the same InfoCube / Planning area from the start. We understand BPS's transaction data locking, therefore we created another InfoCube / Planning area <u>(in the same InfoArea in BW)</u> to avoid locking each other out while using BPS.

However, we find that even when working on different InfoCubes, the locking issue still persisted. I checked under SM12 and found that when accessing one of our standard planning area, 2 InfoCube were in lock mode E.

Is there a way for us to avoid this locking issue? Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

May be the buffer has not been cleared. try to log off the system and re login. If two people are working on completely 2 different sets of planning areas, the data should not get locked.
