Hi,
I am working on a webdynpro app that has multiple views (start, first, second view etc.). We plan to set-up iViews to navigate to a specific view in the WD app. iViews need to pass parameters to the called WD view. Is there a good tutorial for something similar to what I am trying to do ? Did see a few in the forum, but wasnt sure what some of the steps meant.
Thanks in advance.
hi,
If you are using the webdynpro iview you will have to specify the application name. You cannot show different views as different iviews. You can capture the current user and change the visibility accordingly.
for getting user look into the thread
Validate the user to get the role and change the visibility
Hope this helps you

Rohit

hi
Are your first second and third views a part of the same application or how is it. If all the 3 views are part of one application why do u require to navigate from portal you can handle it in WebDynpro.
Well if they are 3 separate applications then they are placed as 3 iViews in the portal then you can use the API WDPortalNavigation to go from one webdynpro iView to another
hope that helps you.
