SAP Transactions using ALV or other so called Controls can be best automated by using SAPGUI Scripting technology.
Using eCATT you can leverage SAPGUI Scripting for purpose of testing. Get familiar with the eCATT commands SAPGUI and GETGUI, this will help you much more in fulfilling your tasks than using the command TCD.
