Unable to get Chinese Characters as output.

Hi,

I am working with Idoc to file scenario.

Some of my inputs are chinese characters. But the same output is not displayed, these characters are replaced by "?".

Please advise on this.

looks like <b>GB18030</b> is the standard for chinese characters

Hi Manoj

How did you work around this problem ? How did you mange to decode chinese characters properly in XI .

Please advise.

When you open the file with notepad on a Windows system, then the OS assumes ANSI which cannot show chinese characters.

Open the file with Internet Explorer, change the encoding to UTF-8 and check the characters then.

PS: Are the characters shown correctly in SMXB_MONI?

I guess setting the encoding to UTF-8 might do the trick
