I did a full installation of Netweaver 2004s and I want to know if there is a special patch to put after the install
So far I have tried patch 10 and its failing at the SDN step, after the specify queue...

I am starting with the patch 6 that comes with the install
I have downloaded the patch via sap market place a while ago
now we use solution manager
I will try patch 12 that I have just downloaded from solution manager.
I gather that you have completed the installation, including the post-installation steps, before you have started the patching? That is very important.

Is it the SDM deploy not restarting the J2EE Engine?

Here is my error that I am getting while intalling patch 12

Close session failed: Connection between SDM client and server is broken.
I am running Windows 2003 server
the j2ee engine is starting correctly
the jlauch.exe and oracle is running as well
