Tablespace administration - reducing the size of a tablespace

Hello Experts,

Iam on solman 4.0 over oracle 10g database and windows 2003 server OS , i want to know various tablespace administration tools and the stepwise procedure to use them .also wt is the procedure of increasiung and decreasing tablespace size

with steps if possiblew with screen shots and related monitoring in Db02 and DB12.My email id is reachme.saumya@gmail.com .

Somya,

You can administer Tablespace using brtools . Login as ora<sid> and run brtools --> Space management --> Extend tablespace , and enter the name of the tablespace which needs to be increased . Brtools will do the work , make sure you have enough space to extend the tablespace.

DB12 is used to monitor backup logs ( database backup and redolog backup).Using DB02 you can check the database space statistics missing indexes current sixe of the Db etc ..
