Move of DB from Portal Srv to another server

Hi All,

Due to performance issues, I need to split our portal environment, which is currently a single server EP7 + Oracle 10.

I want to move Oracle off of this server, and onto the second server.

I have been able to start the DB on the second server, but I am unable to get the Portal to connect to the DB on the remote host.

I have changed the server name entries in the listner & tnsnames files on the Portal server to point to the 2nd server, but the listner still will not start.

Is there something that I am missing? Is there any guides available to do this type of thing?

Hi,

Have you changed the <sid>adm user environment variables?

You can resolve this problem using system copy procedure.

Use installation master,, export database and Instance files ..
