send idoc to external sap system

hi all,

is it possible to send IDoc to a sap system which is not in the same network with XI? If yes, is there any special points that should be taken care?

Hui,

If u are asking that on receiver u r having an IDOC

i.e. ?? -> XI - IDOC

Yes u can do it even if sap system is not in the same network with XI

Thru XI you want to move the IDOC? then

IDOC to IDOC scenario is simple and prefered one.

otherwise thru EDI, you can move....

It will be an Idoc to Idoc scenario through XI as a middleware.
