Hi,

When I try to restore my database via the SAPDB GUI, I get error:

007-06-27 09:41:30 0x00000fa4 0 DBM command param_startsession

2007-06-27 09:41:31 0x00000fa4 0 DBM command param_abortsession

2007-06-27 09:41:40 0x00000fa4 0 DBM command db_cold -f

2007-06-27 09:41:42 0x00000fa4 ERR -24994 DBM ERR_RTE: runtime environment error

0x00000fa4 ERR -24994 DBM -2,Kernel start failed

I've followed note 129352:

==================

-Instance->install

-entered the name and all the details.

-then I choose: restore instance.

Please advice,

Dimitry Haritonov

Are you on Linux? If yes, which version of LInux do you use?

The problem occured because the source system and the target system weren't

at the same version.

thanks to all,

Hello Dimitry,

Could you please provide the additional information:

-> Run the following commands on the target database server & update the thread with outputs:

dbmcli -s inst_enum

dbmcli -s db_enum

-> What version of the DBMGUI are you using?

-> Please check the errors in the knldiag & dbm.prt files & post the information in the thread.

Thank you and best regards, Natalia Khlopina
