difference between SP and SPs

Not exactly an XI problem as such may be it is for all the components in NetWeaver but <b>I am a bit confused about what is a SP and what is a SP stack.</b>

Can someone throw some light?

SPs refers to the the PI series whereas SP refers to the XI series of Netweaver

SPS is Support Package Stack and SP is service pack.

in simple terms...is it not a new version with enhancements and new features?

I believe those are just terms and both of them imply the same i.e features/fixes/ enhancements

My understanding or atleast what I have observed so far~

All SP release on Nw2004s are normally referred to as SPS 10 and so on while on NW2004 they are referred to as SP 19 and so on.

Not sure if this is correct though!
