Background job sched.: SAP Note 923228

Hi,

This is reference to the captioned SAP note regarding Background job sched.: using processes that have become free. We are planning to implement the same. We are running on ECC 5.0 with Basis Patch Level SAPKB64017.

Have anyone has already implemented the notes? how is the performance ?

Also want to find out what is the implementation procedure. Is it only entering the values to BTCOPTIONS table i.e.

BTCOPTION = BTC_DYNAMICAL_TIME_SDL

VALUE1 = ON

VALUE2 = <any comment>

or anything else need to be done.

One more question, is it implementing this will take away the priority of A-Class Jobs. i.e. a situation might arise when the work process are free, all of them are assigned to some long running C-class Jobs, which might result in delaying the A-class Jobs.

Request your suggestions.

Regards,

Sanujit

Hi All,

Just to share with all. I have implemeneted the note. The performance has been really good till date. Earlier we used to have a lot of Jobs in waiting. Now a days the queue remains clear all the time.

Thanks all.
