hi all

I'm having one doubt!

What is a 'text item'. and how can we use the item?

suppose with a TV, the manuals also I want to add in the sales order then how I will do this? plz give the detail configuration.

Hi Text item is the one that has the information about the usage of particular material

First create a text Item ,

Then maintain Item category determintation In vov4. Therte u maintain the usage vas Text, so that ur Text item category is determined in the sales order.

Text item can be used in sales order by using appropriate item category in sales order.

Item category Can be determine on the basis of

Document type + item category group + usage.

Hi,

Text item are those for which you are not maintaining any inventory (Its dummy material) the item category for this is TATX for the query which you have raised you can create a SD BOM and attach the manual as a component. The item category of the manual should be TATX.
