Hi Jaipal,

It is mainly used to prevent the page break

menas whatever lines you wrote between these protect and endprotect they are always printed in a single page only and they won't split into two pages though there is no full space

go to SE71 see any scripts pagewindows

you will find a lot of examples

/E TOTAL_AMOUNT

/: PROTECT

UL &ULINE(71)&

TO

TO ,,Total net value excl. tax &EKKO-WAERS&,,

&KOMK- FKWRT&

/: IF &SUM-EURO-PRICE& NE ' 0,00'

/ ,, EURO,,&SUM-EURO-PRICE&

/: ENDIF

/: ENDPROTECT

Hi jaipal,

Protect

'This is Test'

'This is Test1'

'This is Test2'

'This is Test3'

'This is Test4'

'This is Test5'

Endprotect

Consider this scenario

if there are only 3 lines that can fit in the footer, then the whole text that is form <i><b>"Test to Test5"</b></i> will be printed on next page this is the use of protect endprotect.

If all the five lines can fit in the footer window then protect-endprotect will not triger.

I hpoe its helpful.
