Dispathcher turn Yellow after changing SDM mode to standalone

Does SDM mode change to standalone cause dispatcher status to go yellow?

Hi,

It depends ,whether the SDA/SCA/EAR file selected for deployment is an Offline or Online deployment.

By default,SDM will be in integrated mode.When SDM is supposed to do deploymet,It comes to Standalone mode.

And if the SCA selected is an Offline deployment,Whole insatnce will get restarted,As a result dispatcher may turn yellow and come to Onlline state after the deployment.

Meanwhile if the problem is not with the deployment,u can right click on dispatcher and see the developer trace.

You can also see dev_dispatcher log file under /usr/sap/SID/JCxx/work folder.

Hi

There is no relation between the mode change of the sdm and the dispatcher changing colour.You can try this in your own machine by changing the sdm mode.

Now in your case it must be some other reason why dispatcher turned yellow.Check the relevent log files suggested by other colleauges to troubleshoot the problem.
