What and how the following are used in Route in SD configuration ?
1. Unloading Points
2. Procedure in Route Stages
3. Service Agent in Route Stages
Thanks
hi,
unloading points: these are the points where the material has to be delivered or from where the means of transport is going to change .
for example you are shipping the goods from hyderabad-Mumbai
then hyderabad is your loading point and the mumbai is your unloading point
Procedure in route stages:Route stages are nothing but the places or routes through which you are going to transport the goods before reaching the customer.
Path is as follows:
img-sales and distributionbasic functionsroutes ---define routes and stages
go and specify your route , route id and the service agent.

Hi Mohan,
First of all, if you are asking these objects in relation to Routes, then I would say, Unloading point is not the correct query here....as unloading point is the point where the material needs to be unloaded and is defined in the customer master. The right term to ask would have been Departure and Destination point.
Departure/Destination point - As obvious from the naming convention, for every route stage, there would be a departure point and destination point required. You can set this in the Route Stage definition and the points are configured at SPRO->Logistic Execution->Shipping->Basic Shipping Functions->Routes->Define Transportation Connection Points.
Procedures in Route Stages : This procedure is the pricing procedure for shipping cost analysis at a stage level. You can assign it again at the Route Stage definition and the pricing procedure and relavant pricing details are configured at SPRO->Logistic Execution->Transportion->Shipment Cost->Pricing->Pricing Control->Define and Assign Pricing Procedures. The list of pricing procedures that you would see in Route stage definition is all that is configured here. Pricing procedure will determine the pricing condition types that are to be checked for that particular shipment stage cost.
Service Agent - Nothing but vendors who are actually carrier companies. All trucking/carrier companies are configured in SAP as vendors...defining them is as simple as defining a vendor in SAP.
Hope it helped.
Thanks
Nikhil
