Hi,
Normally after importing the IDOC what are the fields normally in most of the scenarions we will consider in it for mapping
Hi Raju,
It completely depends upon the scenario and on the user's requirement. But all the required fields of IDOC should be mapped to execute that mapping.

Hi,
Have to map all mandatory segments in the Idoc and have to map the control record and depending upon the requirement other valid data is mapped.

Hi Raju,
It is true that you have to map all mandatory segments coming in the Idoc. In addition to that you may have to map the control record. In case the idoc is on sender side, you do not have to map it. But in case idoc is on receiver side and you are preparing the control record from payload, you have to map the same, in this case you also have to check the checkbox in comm channel saying "get control record from payload". If you are getting the control record from runtime, you can simply disable the mapping of control record.
I hope this answers your question..

Hi Raju,
it completely depends on your scenario.........but at least you will have to map all the mandatory fields because otherwise you will not be able to activate your msg mapping............in IDOC, you will have to map the control record EDIDC segment for generating the control rec of the idoc....

Raju,
It all depends on the Functional team. The functional team will decide what all the fields mandatory ,and what logic has to be applied for each field. So once u get the Functional spec then only u can do the mapping.
