Rgarding R3 Migration

hi,

I am new to webdynpro. webdynpro is basically used to migrate ABAP Screes,

Similarly is there any means of migrating the ABAP R3 System itself.

Web Dynpro is a UI technology. Is some client is having screen in ABAP and want to move web based UI interface, he can opt for Web Dynpro.

R/3 systems are for data storage. If someone to use some other place to store their data, they can opt for DBMS, file systems etc.

The migration from R/3 sytem to DBMS etc will be a manual step.
