Hi Venkat,

Check these differences.

Backorder Processing - Backorder processing is the processing of a backorder. Now, a backorder means a sales order which has not been confirmed in full or has not been confirmed at a certain delivery date.

Rescheduling - Rescheduling on the other hand is a proposal which can enable confirmed quantities already assigned to sales orders might be reassigned to other orders. This reassignement may be required due to an order of higher priority which may require an earlier delivery date.

Thanks,

back order processing:

it is sales order which has not been confirmed in full or not confirmed at a certain delivery date.

rescheduling:

it is aprocess of realligning of quantities of sales orders which have already been confirmed on a certain date, to some other sales order which has not been confirmed, which serves as a higher priority to the buisness.

in the later case u are shifting the confirmed quantities to other, but in the former case u dont have material to confirm

Hi

*Backorder processing:

Alloted the required qtty to the sales order for which it hasnt confirmed earlier. Here will wait for the incoming stock until the confirmed delievery date met

*Rescheduling:

re assign the materials from other orders to the customers who has the heigher priority. Here we modify the confirmed date of the previous created orders.

Hope it clears ur issue

Hi Venkat,

Rescheduling is suppose there is some material quanity is confirmed on a perticuler date for a Sales order. For Example for an order 1234 there a material (A) had confirmed a Qnautity of 5 Units on the date of 30/06/2007. But if you want to un-confirm that order and give that quanity to other Sales Order ( for any reason, priority customer, Stock is not available or early requested date etc) then that is called Rescheduling.

" Un allocating the confirmed quanitity of a Sales Order and allocating that quanitity to other order is called rescheduling".

Once You reschedule an order. That means the first order will be processed as Back Order. As in above example now the order 1234 will be processed later as Back Order.

Processing of Not confirmed quanitites or partially confirmed quanities at a requested delivery date is called Back order Processing.

Hope its cleared.
