Hi all,

I do have very interesting situation.

In CJ02 transaction,I select any WBS element and then I click on settlement rule option.I get warning message as follows.

The receiver profitability segment doesn't correspond to Sendamasta.

I wanted to find out following.

1.Why the message was issued?.

2. What's the impact if the user ignore this message and save it? Will it cause some unbalance in the future?

Any pointers on this issues will be highly apperciated & points will be rewarded for useful answers as well.

Dear Tushar,

I guess you are referring to message KD089

Within older releases the profitability segment was derived exclusively

by deducing from characteristics which were given within the settlement

rule.

Now characteristics are transferred from a master record of the sending

object (e.g. material number, plant, profit center, business area,

WBS-Element etc.).

If these fields are filled for the sender, but were not beeing considered

when the profitability segment was created, a warning message is

processed.

The only work around is to create a new settlement rule.

Alternatively you could suppress this message via modification of the

relevant coding.

You can also simply ignore the message, but this can be anoying for the users.

Hope this helps and that I guessed right with the message number.

Dear Martina,

Thanks a lot for your valuable inputs. Also you have guessed right about the message number as well. But my second question is still partially unanswered.

What's the impact if the user ignore this message and save it?Will it cause some unbalance in the future?

Please clarify.

Thanks
