Problem with authorization object belongs to MB51

Hi all,

I have a problem with authorization object.

When I run MB51 and enter data in selection fields and click on enter it gives a report. When I click on “details list “button it is showing a list in Dev and Test system.

But in PRD system when I click on details list button it showing a blank excel sheet.

I have SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW authorization.

1. Is this belongs to authorization or any customizing problem?

2. In any user id If I maintain S_BDS_DS authorization the users getting blank in MB51 result, If I delete the above object MB51 giving good list.

How can solve problem?

Hi Nani,

I understand u r getting a blank excel sheet, right?

then u must do setting in Excel. in Tools > Macro > Security > select medium. and in Trusted tab select To access VB.

this may resolve ur problem

Hi Nani,

Are you using any variants to execute repors, becaz some times you will get report based on varients even you have SAP_ALL and SAP_ NEW or some settings also you need to look

Hi Nani,

Did you add the object mannually in the role

Did you changed in SU24 check/maintain

Basically the object is not checked in the T-Code MB51 so it does not check for the authorization once you maintain the object then it will check and if the authorization is passed then you will be able to view the data.

Have you checked with full authroization for the object S_BDS_DS

Give full authorization in one role for the object S_BDS_DS then check if you can get the values with full authorization then it means once you add the object it will check for the authorization.
