Can we give mail alert when database connection failure ?

Hi Friends ,

How to give mail alert when the database [ MSSQL_Server ]Connection has failed ?

can i write the java code for database connection .I am handling try catch blok . Let it to run once in hour if connection error i need to send mail to corresponding person with the reason for the connection failure .Like password eroor like that .

In mapping only we can write java code right ?

I don't need to do mapping . But i need to execute this java code once in a hour .

Can i use the BPM like start -- > Block with deadline branch --- stop can i do this ?

where to keep that java code ?

No, you can also write java code in adapter modules
