Hello Experts,

I have already installed ABAP instance on ECC 5.0, now I want to install Java Instance onto the same server (ECC 5.0). Can anyone provide me the installation steps for installing Java Instance on an existing ABAP instance.

Thanks in Advance

hi,

Before proceeding with the installation, bring up your sap system and login to 000 with sap* user and create a new client and perform a client copy. This needs to be done as a pre - requisite because while installing your java stack it would ask you for client details inorder to establish JCo connectivity. It is not advisable to use 000 directly hence as part of the installation procedure its mandatory to create a new client and do a client copy and then install java stack which is under your installation master dvd under Java System Addin option - > <your database> -> Java system finalization.

All the best and enjoy installing sap.

Please award points if helpful.

3.Specify SID (ABAP SID)

4.Specify JAVA DVD path

5.JDK directory

Please see the installation guide:

https://service.sap.com/instguides.

You install the Java Add-In for ABAP as described in the documentation Installation Guide ‒ SAP NetWeaver

2004s SR1 Java on <OS>: <database>.

Basically, you would perform another installation with JAVA ADD-IN.
