Hello Henning,
we're using ITS 6.20 SP18 and experience a problem with the top bar menus in the SAPGUI for HTML (Enjoy Design) in both MSIE 6 and Moz Firefox 1.0.4.
When clicking the dropdown menus in the top bar the menu simply won't open. This only occurs in all of our homegrown (Z*) services when dropping into SAPGUI for HTML (ITS is in mixed mode). However - When running service WEBGUI seperately (via ...scripts/wgate/WEBGUI/! ) the menus work funnily enough.
This worked fine prior to the upgrade. Is there a new service parameter that I need to set? Have you got any more documentation? I checked out any related SAPNet notes on the SP18 documentation sheet, but couldn't find anything related.
Kind regards,
Michael
Hi,
Please describe exactly which Menu is not working (text menu or icons?, menu title, items inside) and please also have a look at the javascript console of Mozilla Firefox to see if a javascript error occurs at the time you click on the menu.
Best regards,
Henning

Hi Henning,
it's the top menu (blue menu bar in Enjoy design) that's causing the problem.
I've ran it again in Mozilla Firefox with the JS Console open and it returns the message:
<b>window.frameElement has no properties (line 172 in d_menu.js - this is obviously for ../nsnavigator, but the same applies to MS IE)</b>
The line in question is:
if (leftleft + menuAll.offsetWidth > window.frameElement.offsetWidth)
Regards,
Michael

sorry, I should have been more specific here. It's the <b>text menu items</b> within SAPGUI for HTML for transaction VA03 when called from within a Z* service. The top items (Sales Document, Edit, Goto, Environment, System, Help) for each menu category do appear, but clicking on them does not launch the drop down menu. Thta's when the JS error is triggered.
As mentioned before: Calling any SAP transaction from within the WEBGUI-service works fine.
We've also raised a SAPNet ticket for this now.
Regards,
Michael
Hi Michael,
Please read Note 849376. It's quite possible that this correction will solve the problem. (The correction is part of an ITS 6.20 patch that is not published yet.)
Please copy all information you gave in this thread into the SAPNET ticket. I will stop helping you on this problem now because the support will now care for it.
Best regards,
Henning.
Hi Henning,
many thanks for the heads-up. However you did say "Please ask me for information that you can't find.", which is what I did. Anyway, no bother.
Any help or further documentation appreciated!
Michael

Hi Michael,
You have posted this question as a reply to my thread "ITS FAQ's + latest releases". Because your question is not related to the topic of my thread I have branched your question into a new thread.
Best regards,
Henning
