External facing portal implementation

Hi experts,

We want to implement external facing portal ( EFP ) for our use. For that we have gone through the documnet which is avail in the help.sap.com. We tried to implement it, but didn't get success. So please give us suggestion or proper way to implement it. If you have any documentation for EFP then it would be very helpful.

Configure your EFP

1)Define user profiles - User administration

2)Create the your own Framework Page – Content Administration.

3)Customize the your framework Page to your requirements –Content Administration

4)Create the Portal desktop for EFP –System Administrator

5)Assign portal Desktop to Users/Groups/Alias- System administrator

6)Assign Roles to Users or Groups –User Administrator

7)Configure Navigation Cache –System Administrator

8)Configure Short URLs - System Administrator

Create content to you EFP

9)Create and define Content for External Facing Portal usage.

use your EFP

10)Self Registration of User and approval by the User Administrator.

11)Log On and Work with the Portal
