hi,
while working with rfc and idoc adapters we select import of rfc and idoc interfaces from sap systems permited .then we have specify the system name and client message server and group.what is message server and group.

We can import the RFC and IDOC just by giving the system name and client,

you need to give it in case you have a message server attached to your R3.
In normal scenarios there are no message servers. it is enough o provide system and client details.
