Hi guru's

Please make me understand what is the difference between STO Between plants and STO between company codes?

What is Replenishment delivery and how it is different from normal delivery?

Plz let me know

hai,

STO can take place between any of the following,

1. storage location to storage loc in the plant.

2.plant to plant under one company code.

3.plant to plant under diffrent company codes.

the difference is that under transfer between plant means the transfer is taking place between two plants of a same company code.

in the other it is between two plants of a different company codes.

in the first case it is just a movement of goods from one plant to other,there is

only an excise invoice is effected,the price for the movement is the companys decission.

second case:

it is the case where an purchase order is raised by the receiving plant at a said price.

REPLENISHMENT delivery: the delivery type is NL, usually effected by a delivering plant which fills or replenishes the stock once the stock is completed in the receiving plant, the receiving plant is a dummy plant ,it does not create/manufacture any goods,it is only a consumer of goods. usually in retail chains it is used.(used in many other scenarios)

normal delivery is te delivery to the customer.

STO

Whenever you need to transfer the materials from one plant to another plant belonging to one company or belonging to two company code stock transfer order is raised by the delivering company.

STO:

Transfer of goods from one location to another location,it may be between plants within the same company code or in different company code's plants.

within the company code,bet plants, receiving plant will raise the STO in Supplying/issuing plant-ME21n,

Supplying plant will deliver the goods to receiving plants , then we need to pick n post the Goods Issue-VL02n, nw when we can observe that the STO qtty will be added into receiving plant and reduced in Delievering plant.

STO between plants is the STO between 2 plants within one company code.

STO between company codes is the STO between 2 plants in 2 different company codes.

Replenishment delivery is adding additional stock to existing stock.
