Where to define requirements in copy control

I want to know where to define the requirements for copy control from sales order to delivery .

What criteria should be taken into consideration.

Hi,

If you are asking about where to defone the requirement,it is done in tcode VOFM.

Here you can create your Z routine and assign in copy control in VTLA.

In this routine you can define your own copying reqirement criteria

For defining a new routine you will need a access key from basis.This access key is nothing but a registraton of the Z routine with SAP which is mandatory.

hai,

the copy controls for order to delivery docs are defined in the T:CODE: VTLA.

we have copying requirments defined there, at

1. headerlevel.

2. item level.(click on the item category TAN) and select details button.

there u are presented with the following

1.copy reqts: these are the criteria that must be met when actual copying happens.

2.threre are three data transfer routines present

1. patner data

2.buisness data

3.general item data

3.update document flow: which updates the previous docs when data is copied and keeps a record of the previous docs in the document flow.

4.positive / neg posting

5.copy qty

6.pricing type: the type of pricing u want to influence on the docs is refered here.

The tcode u suggest is just for assigning the target and source order type.

Highlight the LF - OR and double click on the item in the left hand side menu and it will list the requirements.

If it is in the grayed out mode then you click on the Change - Display mode in the menu. Click on the item category that you are using and the requirements will be listed.

The copy control of Sales order to Delivery are defined in T.Code: VTLA.

The requirements are listed Below:

Sales Document Type

Item category

Order Requirements

Item data, business data etc.

If you have your own document types for sales order and delivery document what you do is just copy the standard LF - OR and change the name to your document types like Ex.: L1 - O1 or something like this.
