Hi All,
We have ECC 6.0 on win2003 MS SQL 2005. I want to take the backup through DB13 to a remote disk on netwok. But its showing me Tape drives as Backup Devices how can i change them to some network path ...

hi,
chnange the file init<sid>.sap
you can change using brtools or edit manually
change backup device type disk

As Ben states you need to change the ini<sid>.sap file.
Change the following 3 paramters in the file and then kick off the backup in DB13. I am sure it will work!
backup_dev_type = disk
backup_root_dir = <server>\<your-backup-folder>
stage_root_dir = <server>\<your-backup-folder>
