Hello Friends,
Can Any body lighten me regarding below issue...
We are budgeting for project in CJ30 T-Code. System also check the availability of Budget against actual postings on respective WBS Elements. But now My Question is what is the purpose of T.Code <b>CJ32</b>-Release Budget and when we will use this transaction.
When we put budget in CJ30.. it means we are releasing budget for the corresponding WBS Element. so what is the necessity of <b>CJ32??</b>
Thanks in Advance...
Hi Hari,
Budget Release & Budget allocateion functionality in SAP is inline with business requirments. In most of scenarios, budget alloted, is n't the same as budget release as management of the company always try to optimise use of funds. One more benefit is through funds management complet budget control will happen say activity level budgeting can happen.
Hope this will guide you to some extent.

Hari,
Using released budget, you can also benefit of using authorization restrictions. For example, you can have a team to allocate budget to your projects but just the project manager will be responsible for releasing it.
So further control can be implemented in this direction too.
Hope this helps.
Thanks
Martina

Hi Hari Krishna
Besides technical reasons, Budget release has got its own importance interms of administrative point of view also.
Please also have a look at Budget updates (suppliments, returns, transfers etc) which follows the buget release functionalities in real time scenario.
Enjoy SAP.....

Hi Hari,
This transaction is optional. The following points will explain the requirement in a better way:
1. Once you assign Budget in CJ30, it becomes your defined approved funds( and not the released Budget for that object).
2. To ensure that the available Budget is not exhausted at an early stage; you release the Budget in Stages.
3. Budget release means that you release parts of your current Budget so that that can be used.
4. The release of the budget is optional. But its definitely recommended, since you will have a control on your spending.
5.Very Important point: If you work with released Budget, You will have to carryout the availability check against the released Budget and not against the Current Budget. These setting you do while configuring the Budget Profile.
Hope this helps.
