Hi to everyone!!!

Does somebody knows how to change the OPS$<sid>adm password on Windows 2003?

I forgot the password for this user and I don't know how can I change it.

I'm using Oracle 9.

Hi,

Are you running Oracle?

I assume so.

User OPS$ does not have a password as it is identified "externally", by the operating system.

Thanks to this "feature" SAP can retrieve the password for the SAP<SID>/SAPR3 user from the "SAPUSER" table.

try to run oradbuser.sql that resides in

c:\Program Files\sapinst_instdir\NW04S\SYSTEM\ORA\........

usage :

NT: sqlplus /nolog @oradbusr.sql SCHEMAOWNER NT COMPUTER|DOMAIN SAP_SID

that will recreate the OPS$user

please pay attation to the local/domain user it makes a different.

I solved the problem. Te user OPS is OPS$<HOST>\<SID>ADM and I changed the password for the SAP<SID> user.

Thanks! But a Basis told me that I have to change the password of SAPR3 user. Is this correct?

Hi,

U need to change the SAPGD0's password, for this use brtools for changing or

from the command prompt use this

c:\usr\sap\gd0\sys\exe>BrConnect -u system/<password> -f chpass -o SAPGD0 -p <new password>

first you have to check is SAPUSER table exists and accessable for OPS$SAPServiceSID and OPS$SIDadm. If not, act like described in note 50088.
