Hi all
Can anybody distinguish clearly between Accrual and Account key?
Thanks
account keys:
every transaction that is being effected in buisnesss has to be posted to an account ,from where in case of any reference /retreival can be effected at any point of time. so sap has given differnt types of account for differnt conditions
1.ERS--SALES DEDUCTIONS.
2.ERL--SALES REVENUES.
3.ERF--FREIGHT REVENUES
4.ERB--REBATE SALES DEDUCTIONS
5.MWS-TAX.
6.EVV-CASH SALES.
2. Accruals.
accruals are used in the concept of rebates , where discount are accrued over a period of time and paid patially/totally at the end of the period.
discouts are accrued and are stored in a particular account keys and later retrieved
at the time of settlement.
reward points

sriram.

Hi,
Account key is used to post the values of billing document in different g/l accounts the amounts posted under these account keys will not be reimbursed to any customer but in case of Accrual the amount posted under this key has to be reimbursed to customer but it's not mandatory it will reserve the amount for reimbursement.
