Hey

by Flat IDOC do you mean a standard SAP IDOC(can be a custom IDOC too)?

if yes, then u need to use IDOC adapter on sender side and it will convert IDOC to XML

thanx

This is the sample idoc data which i have been provided. actually i dont have much knowledge abt structure of idocs. As i have to test my scenario hich is idoc to file, i need Idoc-xml format.

Hey

you can always use WE19 to shoot the IDOC's from R/3 towards XI and test ur scenarios.

but one thing, the structure you got, isn't that a Tidle separated File?

if yes, then if you are supposed to send this exact file, then it will make ur scenario File to IDOC.

can you please explain a bit.

anyways, use WE19 to send IDOC's from R/3,you dont need to do any conversion by urself,XI will do it for you.

thanx

This isn't really a flat file, it is X12 EDI formatted message. If you want to transform this properly, you will need an EDI translator such as Seeburger BIC or the ItemField conversion agent.

Yes,thats ANSI X12 format as TIM said.

you would need EDI application adapters if you are using XI in between the systems or you would need an EDI subsystem like GENTRAN. then XI is not needed.
