How can we excute apyr3fix ???

Hello

We are upgrading BW 3.5 --> Netveaver 2004s ( Bw 7.0 )

but we don´t run PREPARE, because we can not update SAPUp, we have to run PREPARE for first time, we have to review note 49365, but we continued with problem, please could you help us ??, How can we execute apyr3fix for update SAPUp ???

Hi Jesús,

I don't fully understand, where your problem is, but I always run it with SIDOFR as follows:

Patch it:

APYR3FIX SID(D01) SAVF(PATCHES/SAPUP7002)

SAVLIB(GEN700AOPT) KRNLIB(SAPUP) GETSAVF(*NO)

EXEPATH('/usr/sap/put/bin')

Activate it:

UPDIFS HYBLIB(SAPUP) IFSPATH('/usr/sap/put/bin') MODE(SELECT) APPLYLINK(NO) TYPE(*IFS)

Before that, you download the CAR file from the SMP and decompress it to the SAVF patches - you could do integrate this step in the APYR3FIX as well - but I tend to not do this for upgrades, because of the SAPCAR change with 7.0 (even when it would work with SAPCAR 6.40 Patch #4)

We can not execute APYR3FIX , because we can not update SAPCAR also with APYR3FIX, please how can we update SAPCAR with this command ???, and another thing, we have to update SAPCAR of /usr/sap/put/......, because this SAPCAR is for kernel 7.0??

Hi Jesús,

I would NOT update SAPCAR, even when possible.

I would install a 7.00 SAPCAR patch on your windows PC and use that one, which is a lot easier in my eyes. Then you just move over the SAVFs via FTP and it will work. If you drop me a mail, I can reply to you with the Win SAPCAR and a setup information.

We have to see document SAPCAR_NT.pdf, we have to trying descompress SAPUp and after apply with apyr3fix, but when we descompress with sapcar SAPUp.SAR in PC, we obtein *.FILE, then what do we do with this *.FILE???

Hi,

that is perfecrt news, because it shows me, it worked fine ))

you just rename it to "nothing" -> without an extension and the results need to transferred binary from the PC to the already existing SAVF on the i5 e.g. in the lib PATCHES ...

yes, exactly. Please rename so, that the ".FILE" is no more there and transfer it binary to the savf PATCHES/SAPUP7002 )
