adapter engine in runtime workbench doesnt show up adapters

hi,

I have a doubt.I have done a file to file scenario .After executing it, when i go to runtime workbench and licck on component monitoring- adapter engine ped-adapter monitoring i cant see the file adapter at all..

Can anybody tell me where the exact problem is....

Is it only this particular adapter that you have created that is not showing in monitoring ?

In that case in SXI_CACHE check the cache status and try to refresh the cache. Also make sure your adapter si active.

Else if none of the adapter is shown, do as mike suggested "import SAP BASIS 6.40 software component into repository and you will see everything "

none of the adapters are shown..

sap basis 700 has been installed ....will this not contain everything....

is it necessary for me to install sap basis 6.40
