Kindly read the thread

More details on SAP Router http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/4f/992d39446d11d189700000e8322d00/content.htm

Setting Router connections in RFC destination

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/5a/97a066223e440b8ead3da027b17d9e/content.htm

So Basically to ur question RFC adapter uses the RFC destination u've created right. Hence RFC adapter also supports SAP Router string configured in RFC destination.

Read the above two helps it will be more clear.

Best regards,

raj.

Hi Kumar,

SAProuter is an SAP program that acts as an intermediate station (proxy) in a network connection between SAP Systems, or between SAP Systems and external networks. SAProuter controls the access to your network (application level gateway), and, as such, is a useful enhancement to an existing firewall system (port filter).

In short, SAProuter provides you with the means of controlling access to your SAP system.

Check this on complete information on SAP Router:

Kumar,

It is used to connect to Remote SAP systems. Go to this link and click on the first link. Save the document. It explains clearly the steps needs to be done:
