SRM Guru's
Product Ver: SRM 5.0 : ECC 6.0 ( No CCM or Service Master )
TAX S/w: Vertex ( O )
As of now: We are planning to implement a vanilla SRM-ECC (in ext. classic). We are into Indirect procurement w/limit orders.
Catalog:
I want to create a Catalog ( UNSPSC or 1 level company catalog),
1. Can this be created in ECC (with out Products ) and replicated to SRM (EBP)
2. How to go about creating it ?
3. Can it be done with out CCM, if so how
4. How to replicate it ? ( no CCM or middleware )
5. Can i create it in EBP ? if so, plse say how..
TAX:
Vertex mentioned that, Tax codes will be mapped to services, in our case, since we dont have Services except a free form text describing what service is provided ( eg: "Payroll Service" ), what can be done ?
In a normal scenario, i can imagine having Service Master with all "Services", but in our situation, how can we use catalog to map to TAX codes. ?
PS: If you could, please describe/break down the relationship between
Catalog -- Category Id -- Product -- Services/Materials
regards.,
-Rupesh
Hi Rupesh,
I am not sure, whether the concept of catalogs is clear. There is no ability to
create catalogs in ECC. Catalogs are mainly used for indirect materials and for
these no further master records need to be created using catalogs. Master records
are used to order stock material within SRM; for these no catalog is created.
1. Catalog need to be created separatly. It is an own product and can be CCM
or a direct punch out to a supplier catalog via OCI.
2. A catalog is created externally using schemas according to the used software.
A catalog serves like a material master in R/3, therefore there is no material
master for catalog items.
3. Yes, you can use the catalog directly from suppliers / marketplaces and
integrate them via OCI interface into SRM
4. Replication is connected to material master records you wish to use in SRM
as well. This is not connected to catalogs.
5. A catalog cannot be created in EBP. There is a piece of software, like CCM
needed the get the ball rolling.
6. Releationship
One Catalog contains several categories (=commodity codes). One category
contains several products / services.
All products / services maintained in a catalog do not have a material / service
master in ECC.
Cheers,
Claudia

Hi Rupesh,
Regarding catalog base tax codes, you can create custom tax field in catalog and pass it to shopping cart tax field using BADI BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER. Please assign points if it helps.

Hi
To create internal catalog there are three possibilities
1. CCM Catalog developed by SAP.
2. SRM-MDM Catalog taken over by SAP.
3. Requisite Catalog other catalog provider.
