Jus starting to work on SAP security.
When you go to PFCG and copy an existing role to a new role.
Do you take the copy all parameter or copy selectively
What's the difference
Then it will come up with an option for
User
Personalization
I know if you check mark the user, it will copy the user to the new role
What about personalization
What does this copy
I'm trying to copy a current role to a new role and want to remove a transaction from the new role and leave everything else as the old role.
Thanks
Joe

Hi Joseph,
Copy the role with Personalization and then in the new role remove the transaction code which you whan to remove and check for any open authorization fields in authorization tab and then generate.

Personalization:
The system administrator can create transaction variants in the SAP System personalization. Transaction variants adjust complex SAP System transactions to customer business processes, by e.g. hiding superfluous information and adding other information such as pushbuttons, text or graphics. You can put a transaction variant call in a user menu by entering the transaction code and variant which you created in the transaction SHD0
