We have used the standard SAP HCM Forms and Processes framework to
create 1 employee initiated and 4 manager initiated processes. All 5
use Adobe interactive forms. When we use a PC (XP Professional) with
IE 6.0 SP2, all the forms display and work properly. When we use a MAC
(OS X version 10.4.8 PowerPC) with Firefox version 1.5.0.7, all 5 forms
do not display in the browser. We don t get any error message, just a
blank page. The Start Process framework buttons do display. Both
systems have Abobe Acrobat Reader 7.0.
We have reviewed the Product Availability Matrix from the SAP Service
Marketplace regarding MAC browser support for HCM ESS/MSS, and it is
unclear and ambiguous. The ERP2004 PAM (which should include HCM
ESS/MSS) shows Firefox as a supported browser platform, as some HCM
ESS/MSS scenarios are a standard browser based ERP application,
furthermore this PAM does not mention any restrictions on certain
business processes per browser platform. The NW04s PAM does indicate
no support for the Firefox browser on MAC and Adode Interactive Forms.
So, which PAM is correct and how than does ERP2004 HCM ESS/MSS support
the MAC with scenario's that by the SAP standard use Adobe Interactive
forms?
Thank in advance, for return of experience
regards
Jérome
Hello Jerome,
Mac is not a supported platform as of yet (neither on FireFox nor on Safari combination) as far as the interactive forms are concerned. You can take it as an official statement from SAP.
I will see if we can bring in more clarity in the PAM.
Best Regards,
Krish
