No refresh when publishing templates

Former Member

Hi,

We have changed some templates of the webgui service.

Until now, the changes were immediately visible when we published and restarted the service.

Now however, the system doesn't refresh the templates anymore.

We putted back the original templates, published them all but we don't see any change.

What can be wrong?

Thanks for all help

greetings,

Hans

Hello Hans,

sometimes it occurs that a template refresh (after publishing it)

fails due to a lock problem. When a work process crashed during

a read operation from the cache it cannot reset the mutex lock set

before. This can be seen in the transaction SITSPMON. Choose the

tab with the mutex statistics. If a mutex hangs try to restart the

related application server (using SM50).

Sometimes it might occur that the RFC call for publishing the template

in another application server fails. What do you see in the dialog under

the template and mimes statistics? There is a list of application servers

showing the date of the cache validity.

best regards

Tobias

Don't want to say: try to restart the related application server.

I mean: try to restart the related work process.

Hi Tobias,

It's surely a very usefull transaction

The problem was resolved after invalidating the cache

Thanks a lot!
