I am running PI7.0 - SP10.
I have implemented : How to serialize IDoc XML messages fed into XI
/people/community.user/blog/2006/11/04/how-to-serialize-idoc-xml-messages-fed-into-xi
Then, I have found the following:
How To prioritize XI messages on integration server
Can these two be used in conjunction with each other, using the configuration for Queues already implemented on the Serialize Idoc blog? The queue created here has a prefix of XBQOK* when it is executed.
We will processing hundred of messages a day, but my client wishes to prioritze the Payroll Messages over other messges. (some people are so money orientated! )
These seem to come with the same warnings:
In case the queue with these important messages stops, all selected messages will queue behind. We recommend strongly to monitor this queue.
Are these separate actions or has what I have already configured sufficient to enable processing?
Maybe I am looking at this the wrong way and should remove the initial configuration and implement Prioritization?
What are the pros and cons?
