Are documents attacheable to single milestones or network operations?

In the SAP-project system there are milestones and network operations.

Is there a possibility to attach various documents like MS-Office or drawings to a single milestone or to a single network operation?

Thank you for help.

Hi Markus

You can assign PS texts & Documents to project objects WBS and Activities only. Not to Milestones..

Hope this will clear your doubts..

Enjoy SAP....

Hai Markus

Milestone is basically used where triggering /alert event is required -similar to worflow but inside PS .

Like in

sales order scenario - triggering the billing

Normal scenario - releasing the activities based

Hi,

These are couple of ways in which you can attach documents in PS.

Differentiation is made between “Documents” and “PS Texts” in PS. While PS text is directly available is PS, and doesn’t require much configuration, “Documents” like CAD drawings require Document Management System Configured in your SAP.

These “documents” can be stored either in R/3 or in a separate DMS server.

You can attach PS texts to Network activities and WBS elements only. You will able to attach MS Excel, MS Word File, SAP Script, RTF extension files etc through the use of PS texts.

You can also attach Documents like CAD drawings to WBS and Network activities( But again, DMS would be required for this). You can attach any number of documents to these objects. You can attach Documents to the material components as well.

Once you are in Project builder, Just Drag and Drop the PS Text from the “Work list Area” on to the Network activity. Choose the text Type, Small description and Type of file to be attached. (While attaching, expand the project structure, if required)

I am afraid you cannot attach documents to a Milestone.

Hope this helps.
